Tucson - Now, for the first time, we see their faces.
A half-dozen alleged victims who contacted the News 4 Tucson investigators identified from a photo the two men who've been going around Tucson ripping-off people in two separate repair scams. One has identified himself as both David Lee and David Stevens; the other man goes by the name of Anthony Stevens.
We first heard complaints about them and reported on their unlicensed mobile auto body business in November, from 84-year old Annette Komaniecki. She paid them $1000 to remove the dents on her 2009 Buick Lacrosse after they approached her outside her foothills home. Instead, they spread some type of blue paste all over her car. Annette says the guy who did the talking weighs over 300 pounds.
"I guess I felt sorry for him," Ms. Komaniecki told the News 4 Tucson Investigators. We asked her, "Why did you believe what he was saying?" She said, "Because I wanted to."
We showed Annette's car to an auto body shop owner, John Campbell of Desert Enterprises. He said, "I've been doing this over 35 years. I've seen a lot of rip-offs. I've never seen one quite to this level."
Since we reported Annette's story, two more alleged repair racket victims contacted us.
Josh Adams of Rita Ranch posted a Craigslist ad after he bought a used truck with some dents in it. The so-called repairmen put a hole in the truck and in Josh's wallet, for $360.00.
Adams said, "Frankly I just want this guy to stop ripping other people off. He's a scam artist, there's no doubt about it.
Thelma Gonzales says the man calling himself Anthony Stevens approached her outside the Fry's store at 1st and Rogers last summer, offering to do body work on her 2013 Chevy Equinox. $120 later, her SUV looks worse.

QUEENSBURY -- A Fort Edward man who police said burglarized two homes last summer was sentenced to 6 months in Warren County Jail and 5 years on probation for his guilty plea in one of the cases.
Gary D. Wells Jr., 21, will also spend 5 years on probation as part of the sentence imposed by Warren County Judge John Hall.
Wells was arrested last July after police said he went into a Buckbee Road, Queensbury home and stole $350. That theft was captured by a surveillance camera in the home, which led to police identifying Wells as a suspect.
Days later, he was charged with a second burglary, after media coverage of the arrest led to a woman identifying him as the man she caught in her home days before he was arrested in the Buckbee Road theft.
Police said Wells worked as a paving contractor and knocked on doors soliciting driveway sealcoating work. When no one answered the door, he went inside.
His guilty plea to third-degree burglary, a felony, satisfied charges in both cases.

With the crack of metal against wood, and a rumble that briefly shook the sidewalk, the ornate molding that pointed skyward from the roof of the Louis Street house disappeared Tuesday morning into the jaws of an excavator's bucket. Within an hour, most of the building was on the street in a pile of bricks and debris, soon to be hauled away.
The long-vacant house at 1510 Louis in Camden's Whitman Park neighborhood, one of many that officials say have harbored crime over the years, was gone by Tuesday afternoon. In the coming months, close to 600 such buildings are to crumble to the ground, demolition that city officials hope will clear the way for community gardens, affordable housing, and other development.
"This is the time our residents and our children will begin to enjoy their safer and more vibrant neighborhoods," said Mayor Dana Redd, one of the local and state officials who gathered Tuesday to announce the launch of the city's long-awaited demolition project. "We are not done here."
When Redd was elected in 2009, she vowed to attack city blight. Now, she and other city leaders are working to secure federal funding that could help residents become homeowners, and encourage development so that the demolition sites won't stay empty.
"The next step is to envision what these spaces could be," she said.
For decades, Camden residents have lived among a growing number of buildings that are empty and in disrepair, often abandoned by owners who walked away or stopped paying taxes. A survey last year by the nonprofit group CamConnect and the Camden Community Development Association found that close to 15 percent of the nine-square-mile city's structures were vacant, and about 37 percent of the city's land could be considered empty if 8,000-odd vacant lots are included.
The demolitions will target what Camden officials call "the worst of the worst," first tearing down 62 buildings with funding from a federal grant.
The second phase of the project, the $8 million destruction of the rest of the structures on the list, will be financed by a bond to be paid off with revenue from a tax on city parking lots. There has been no start date set for that phase, but city officials said they hoped to finish within 18 months.
Many of the buildings set to be destroyed are in Whitman Park, known as one of Camden's roughest neighborhoods, where police say dealers have used boarded-up houses as storage for drugs and weapons. The 1500 block of Louis has been the scene of shootings and police raids in recent years.
