London-based high-end interior designer, Beatrice M. Fulford-Jones, SBID IIDA, recently completed the design of two high-end condominiums located outside of Boston, Massachusetts. The project, Wetherby Place, is a turnkey development. Jones acted as interior designer and project manager to create two condominiums that feature exquisitely designed interiors outfitted with sumptuous furnishings and state-of-the-art systems and appliances. The venture is a signature illustration of how Beatrice brings an international lan to American residences designed for discerning clients looking to move right in. Wetherby Place 1, the first floor condominium, features a sleek kitchen outfitted with Bosch appliances, Cabico European-style frameless custom cabinetry, seamless Krion countertop, backsplash and sink by Porcelanosa, low level LED ambient lighting and pop-up USB power column on the peninsula. The space is furnished in classic modern style, with a Calligaris dining table and chairs, Mies van der Rohe and Le Corbusier seating, Noguchi coffee table, Ligne Roset media console, Italian chandelier, and a curved ultra HD TV. The master bedroom and guest bedroom each include a custom walk-in closet with beds by Ligne Roset and BoConcept. Custom high-end bed linens and window treatments complete the design.

Wetherby Place 2, a bright contemporary space, occupies the second and third floors of the three-story building. Similar to the first floor unit, the kitchen features Cabico custom cabinetry, a seamless Krion solid-surface countertop, sink and backsplash by Porcelanosa, and integrated high- and low-level LED ambient lighting. A pop-up USB power column on the island, a Bosch cooktop featuring 'flex-induction' completes the kitchens superbly appointed yet supremely efficient purpose. The condo is furnished with exceptional pieces from Ligne Roset, BoConcepts, and Roche Bobois. An entertainment system is anchored by a 65 curved, ultra HD smart TV and accompanying media. The three bathrooms have Porcelanosa fixtures and tile, as well as rain showers, heated flooring, and heated towel bars.

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, known for her love of fixing up and selling houses, has listed her adjacent units in a Westwood condo building for close to $16 million.

Get out the road map and the moving truck. She bought the two Wilshire Corridor condos for that amount in July after selling her primary residence on the Westside to Napster co-founder Sean Parker for $55 million.

The smaller of the two condos, which are for sale separately or together, has been redone and features an elevator opening directly to the unit, stone and wide-plank oak flooring, two bedrooms, two full bathrooms and a half-bath. Priced at $7.495 million, it has 3,813 square feet of living space.

The larger condo contains 4,158 square feet and is listed for $8.495 million. There are two bedrooms and three full bathrooms.

Together the units take up an entire floor with golf course and downtown views.

The digs appear to have been only temporary as DeGeneres and her spouse, Portia de Rossi, prepared to move back into a property she previously owned. That two-part deal involved buying back the Hollywood Hills West home of Jodie Fosters spouse, Alexandra Hedison, this summer and an adjoining property for a combined $10 million the same amount she sold both properties for in 2007.

Hedison, who married Foster in April, rebuilt and updated the 1950s four-bedroom home with a swimming pool, installing new wiring, plumbing, roofing, windows, a security system and other improvements.

The re-formed DeGeneres compound has more than 1.6 acres of grounds.

INDIANAPOLIS - It is good to have a home security system, but imagine using it to watch someone breaking into your home in real-time.

Tuesday morning, Nick Essling watched LIVE from his cell phone as three men broke into his Broad Ripple home.

"Looking through the window, looking through the doors and that's when I thought, I'm getting robbed," Essling said.

While Essling watched the men kick through a different door, he called 911.

"I was looking, though, and I was able to pause it, and give the operator a description of what they look like and what they were wearing," Essling said.

Essling's $200 camera is connected to an app called "Dropcam." It detects motion or sound and sends a push notification as an alert.

"If I didn't have the camera, then I wouldn't have been able to call the police," Essling said.

Using a Wi-Fi connection, the app streams video in real time. Anything that comes through the camera streams to a laptop, smartphone or tablet. Essling's camera even captured footage of police responding to his home.

It was too late, however, so Essling turned to another free app called "Nextdoor" to let his neighbors know.

"It was kind of nice to get a little support from the community. People saying, 'This happened to me as well,' or 'Make sure you don't do this', Essling said.
