Bob Root Landscapes Offers Solutions for Wet Spring Due to Winter's Record Snow Fall

    - April 27, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

Downingtown, PA (PRWEB) April 27, 2014

The combination of permeable pavers, such as the Eco Brick Paver by E.P. Henry and rain water harvesting is a greener and more beneficial option for the modern home landscape and will dramatically reduce runoff, solving many issues accompanying wet springs and harsh winters. In addition to runoff reduction, this combination eliminates winter icing on walks and driveways and stores the rainwater for a variety of needs such as irrigation, washing cars, and ponds. Eco permeable pavers and rain water harvesting can also provide money saving tax credits and water bill savings.

Using permeable pavers allows the water to drain into the paving leaving the driveway, patio and walkway clear. Simply remove your snow and the sun will melt the rest. No winter ice means not having to use salt or pay someone to take care of de-icing. Salt and ice melt can damage the average concrete walks and asphalt driveways leading to costly repairs and replacement, said owner, Bob Root. We provide a variety of pavers and rain water harvesting components to capture, store and re-use rain and storm water.

Bob Root Landscapes LLC offers a variety of services including hardscape design and construction, patios and walkways, outdoor lighting, excavating and grading, storm water management, irrigation installation, outdoor living rooms and kitchens, patio fireplaces, fire pits and fountains, garden ponds and streams, four-season perennial gardens, ornamental plant installation, plant identification and general plant care. They also offer 100% guarantee mosquito and tick control.

In addition to serving the landscaping needs of Chester, Montgomery and Delaware Counties, Bob Root is active in the community and has enjoyed coaching the youth baseball team for the past five years.

Bob Root Landscapes LLC is located at 880 Horseshoe Pike, Downingtown, Pennsylvania, 19345. For more information, please call 610-873-1256 or visit http://www.bobrootlandscapes.com.

Plaster Fun House demolition to bring relief for struggling businesses

NEWS of the Ballarat Plaster Fun Houses demolition has come as a relief for neighbouring business owners, who have been waiting patiently for Grenville Street to reopen to traffic.

NEWS of the Ballarat Plaster Fun Houses demolition has come as a relief for neighbouring business owners, who have been waiting patiently for Grenville Street to reopen to traffic.

Carpet Court Ballarat business owner Rod McDonald said he was frustrated it had taken this long.

Were coping. But were down 50 per cent on sales, which is significant, Mr McDonald said.

Ive lost one month of business, as its been almost three months since it happened.

The businesses have been told the facade of the building will be demolished, after an engineering inspection deemed the building unsafe.

Once the engineering report is submitted to the city council, the demolition will proceed.

The central Ballarat business was gutted by fire on February 6.

Mr McDonald said it had been 84 days since the fire.

Summer home tours scheduled by area builders

    - April 27, 2014 by Mr HomeBuilder

Spring has barely made its presence known, but area builders are looking forward to summer.

Three area builders groups have scheduled late-summer home tour events designed to showcase their designs and craftsmanship and get a jump on 2015 construction.

Last week, the Home Builders Association of Fort Wayne announced its 2014 Parade of Homes and Lifestyle Show will take place Sept. 6 to 14. The location is The Forest of Foxwood, which hosted 2005s parade.

The Builders Association of Northeast Indiana will host its annual scattered-site Builders Parade Aug. 1 to 3 and Aug. 8 to 10. And, the Builders Association of Kosciusko and Fulton Counties has moved its Homes on Parade from its traditional slot in May to Sept. 5 to 7.

According to Joni Truex, the Kosciusko area associations executive officer, that group delayed the parade because the severe winter affected home construction.

The frozen ground had prevented builders from being able to start or complete building projects, she says. We are waiting until the fall to unveil the beautiful new custom homes and excellent remodeling projects.

Jan Garman, co-executive officer of BANI, says that group does not know how many houses will be on display in August. However, past events have had six to eight homes, many on the regions lakes.

Kim Ward, marketing director for Foxwoods developer, North Eastern Group, says the parade to date includes seven homes and two villas and a nearly 25,000-square-foot exhibition tent.

A new feature is that builders will be paired with major sponsors who will co-brand the homes, Ward says, adding about 15,000 people are expected to go through the properties.

Participating builders so far are Bob Buescher Homes of Fort Wayne and Angola, Granite Ridge Builders of Fort Wayne and Goshen, Timberlin Homes of Leo and Hickory Creek Homes, Quality Crafted Homes, Slattery Builders and Star Homes by Delagrange & Richhart, all of Fort Wayne.
