The higher-quality French doors that will continue to be beautiful and function properly for many years generally cost around $4,500 to $6,500. These include brands like Jeld-Wen, Pella, Andersen and a few other high-end manufacturers, and they are designed to be a permanent solution for homeowners who love their home and want to enjoy it for many years.

I would caution any homeowner doing research on replacement patio doors: dont be fooled by the seemingly low shelf prices on most patio doors that dont include hardware or installation. Some stores consider essential items like energy-efficient glass packages, hardware, installation and warranty to be upgrades, and the actual price tag after these have been figured in will be much higher than the advertised price at the beginning.

Also, I would highly recommend having a professional contractor or handyman put in the patio door, as it is an extremely complicated process with a lot of opportunity for error but little room for it.
