STANDING in the kitchen, sitting room or the garden it is hard to believe that you are in the city because all you can see is acres and acres of arable farmland.

The setting for this family home is truly exceptional and definitely a very big tick but it is far from being the only one in its favour.

Home to Peter and Evelyn Parkinson these past 13 years or so, the property at Stephens Way, Bignall End, is just ideal for a family to walk straight into tomorrow.

It is in excellent condition and much of it has been renewed during their time here. It is spacious and has a good layout, has all the amenities such as highly-rated schools, shops and transport links and is on the market at a very competitive price.

Evelyn said: "We are only moving to be with our daughter in Devon otherwise there is absolutely no way we would want to move. This is a lovely house in a lovely spot and we have been very happy here."

It makes a good impression from the moment you pull into the large brick-paved driveway and walk through the door into the hallway which is bright and welcoming.

Evelyn said: "We have done quite a bit of work here including replacing all the internal doors and the windows." It shows too and a visitor's initial response is of a very light interior.

That impression is only deepened when you go to the right and into the through lounge/sitting room which Evelyn calls her "sunshine rooms".

Running the depth of the property from front to back this is a big room and filled with daylight from the big window overlooking the drive to the patio doors which open out to the garden and that spectacular view.
