On Tuesday, March 5, tree removal operations will occur near Burruss Hall (weather permitting).

The large beech tree (FASY-4538) in front of Burruss Hall has declined significantly over the past four years and has not responded to mitigation practices to support its health implemented by the university arborist. This tree will be replaced later this spring.

Additionally, the crapemyrtles on both sides of Burruss Hall will also be removed as part of a landscape renovation at the site. These will be replaced with more appropriate species for the campus, identified by the university arborist.

Questions may be directed to vtfacilities@vt.edu.
