The Bombay High Court on Monday said it would hear a petition by the scam-tainted Adarsh Housing Society against the demolition order of the Environment and Forests Ministry after the Supreme Court decides its plea seeking transfer of the matter to National Green Tribunal.
Adarsh's lawyer advocate Saket Mone told the division bench of justices V M Kanade and S C Gupte that the petition in the Supreme Court would be heard on October 21.
The high court then adjourned the society's petition against the demolition order to November 11.
MoEF, in January 2011, ordered demolition of the controversial high-rise in the plush Colaba area here for alleged violation of Coastal Regulation Zone norms, and for not obtaining permission from the Ministry before construction.
The society's contention is that it had obtained all the necessary permissions from the state.
In January, it filed an application seeking transfer of its petition against the demolition order to the Tribunal. It cited Supreme Court's order in Bhopal gas tragedy case that all cases which question the provisions of Environment Act should be heard by the Green Tribunal.
Last month the high court rejected this prayer, so the matter reached the apex court.
According to the society, when it filed the petition in February 2011 before high court challenging the demolition order, the tribunal wasn't operating.

Demolition workers have finished knocking down the house where two parents set a deadly blaze which killed their children.
Demolition work begins on the Philpott family home in Derby.
Work to pull down the fire-damaged semi-detached house in Victory Road, Derby, began just after 8am with the final smoke-blackened wall demolished shortly after 2.30pm.
Clearing the remaining rubble and flattening the site is expected to take several more days.
As a mechanical digger started pulling down the former family home brick by brick, neighbours welcomed the move, although for some looking on it brought back memories of happier times, painful now to recount.
Mick and Mairead Philpott were jailed in April, along with their friend Paul Mosley, after being convicted of killing the couple's six children in the petrol-fuelled blaze in Allenton.
Jade Philpott, 10, and her brothers John, nine, Jack, eight, Jesse, six, and Jayden, five, died in the blaze in May 2012. Duwayne, 13, died days later in hospital.
Evidence of the intense black smoke thrown off by the fire became apparent as more of the house's innards were exposed during the work.
In one of the out-buildings a full-size snooker table was uncovered with the balls still set up, ready to play.
It will be sent to landfill along with all the other rubble.

Bulldozers and demolition teams are tearing down 18 Victory Road
Demolition work has started on a house where six children were killed in a blaze set by their parents Mick and Mairead Philpott.
Derby City Council said a bulldozer was on site demolishing 18 Victory Road. An adjoining property, number 20, has already been knocked down.
More housing will be built on the site following the work.
The Philpotts were jailed in April, along with friend Paul Mosley, after being convicted of manslaughter.
A council spokeswoman said the work would take about two weeks to complete.
Jade Philpott, 10, and her brothers John, nine, Jack, eight, Jesse, six, and Jayden, five, died in the blaze in May 2012. Duwayne, 13, died days later in hospital.
A court heard the fire was an attempt to incriminate Mick's former partner, who was disputing custody of children they had together.
