Mark Cottle was recently promoted to company president after serving as the brands Chief Operating Officer. In addition to Cottles change in position, the company has hired Carolyn Liedtke as TruBlues Senior Brand Marketing Manager. They are excited to now have a full stable of talent in all parts of the business, dedicated to growing the brand and supporting growing franchise businesses.

TruBlue Total House Care provides complete house care and offers a concierge-like service model for homeowners. Services offered include maid services, home improvements, routine maintenance, landscaping and even emergency repairs. Through several key vendor partnerships they also are addressing the need for increasing in home accessibility, and even speeding up real estate transactions by crossing off frustrating home inspection checklist items.

We want to give people their weekends back. Homeowners and business owners can leverage TruBlue as one point of contact instead of having separate contacts for services like electricians, plumbers, cleaners, carpenters, landscapers, etc. We have an aggressive growth plan for 2015 and were excited about the direction TruBlue is heading, Cottle said.

Local resident Dan Joyce is bringing complete home care services to Canada through his new business, TruBlue Total House Care. This is the first TruBlue franchise in the country.

TruBlue York Region specializes in providing complete house care, including maid services, lawn care, home improvements and emergency repairs. TruBlue works with home owners, business owners, real estate professionals, general contractors and property managers to maintain homes and rental properties, improve curb appeal, make final preparations to sell homes and more.

I was born with a screwdriver in my hand and, in my teens and 20s, I built houses. On a cold night in Alberta, I decided to go back to school and start my career in IT sales and sales management. Ive been doing that for a long time, but last summer, I decided it was time for a change, Dan said.

Knowing that he loved to work with his hands and help with home repairs, Dan looked into working as a handyman and even owning a handyman franchise before coming across TruBlue. Since there were no TruBlue franchises in Canada and the company combined the handyman idea with other home care services, it created the perfect opportunity for Dan to bring the company into a new area and launch his own business. Dan lives in Aurora and his office is located in Richmond Hill.

I knew it would be challenging to bring a new business concept into this country and into my community, but Im looking forward to making this a successful company that meets the needs of property owners in the York Region, Dan said.
