A DARWEN plumber steered a worried animal lover from a potential cat-astrophe after rescuing a pet from under the floorboards.
Daisy the cat had been missing for more than two days after worming her way under the floorboards of her owners home while they were having work done to the kitchen.

And after hearing meowing noises coming from under the living room floorboards, they turned to plumbers at the Dyno-Rod franchise, Craven Services Ltd, in Vale Street after hearing of the firms previous success in rescue missions.
Lead plumber John Kelly used a thermal imaging camera to find Daisy, realising she could access various downstairs rooms from under the floorboards.
He removed the carpet and pulled up a floorboard then coaxed the cat out by dropping food into the void.
And once she appeared after 15 minutes, John was able to pluck Daisy from the underbelly of the house and bring her to safety.
John Kelly said: Once we got the call from the distressed customer, we knew we could help.
We got to work straight away and used a thermal imaging camera to look down the floorboards and help locate Daisy the cat. It took us about two hours to make the rescue and the customer was so relieved.
The franchise in the Vale Street Works is owned by Andrew Millar, James and Max Craven.

MATT Christopher Lockley has pleaded not guilty to interfering with a crew member after he sparked a hijacking scare on a flight from Brisbane to Bali.
Mr Lockley faced Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday, accused of pounding on the cockpit door during his flight last April, the Brisbane Times reports.
The court heard Mr Lockley removed the rope between economy and business class several hours into his flight, before approaching the locked door to the flight deck.
Flight attendant Angela Demo told the court he was "pounding on the flight deck door and turning the handle".
Neil Cooper was the pilot who sent a code to alert air traffic control of a possible hijacking - but he told the court he didn't know exactly what was happening.

Passenger blacklisted by airlines -

A FLY-IN, fly-out plumber charged with knocking on a cockpit door during a flight, has been blacklisted by airlines pending a court decision.
Lawyers for Tweed tradie Matt Christopher Lockley, 28, yesterday told Brisbane Magistrates Court airline crew took an extreme measure by raising a hijack alarm on board the Virgin Australia flight in April.
Lockley has pleaded not guilty to interfering with crew members and told the court he thought he was knocking on the toilet door during a panic attack while on his way to Bali to see his wife.
His lawyers argued he should be acquitted as he had no intention to get into the cockpit and his actions did not interfere with the crews duties.
However, Commonwealth prosecutors argued Lockley had aggressively banged on the cockpit door and rattled the handle in an attempt to gain access, causing cabin crew to react appropriately, including getting other passengers to help restrain him.
The court heard evidence from the pilots and cabin crew who described how they used a covert code to indicate a possible hijack due to Lockleys actions causing set protocols to be followed where the plane was given priority and Indonesian authorities were alerted.
As a result, Lockley was detained on landing and charged when he returned home. The charge carries a maximum penalty of two years in jail.
Magistrate Judy Daley yesterday reserved her decision until December 12.
Outside court, defence barrister Chris Rosser said just being charged had already meant Lockley had been blacklisted by Virgin Australia and associated carriers.

Lockley will learn his fate on December 12.
A Tweed Heads plumber's anxiety was so acute he did not realise he was knocking on the door of the cockpit on a flight to Bali, a mistake that caused a hijacking scare, a court has been told.
Matt Christopher Lockley has been accused of causing such a stir onboard the Anzac Day flight that the Virgin Australia pilot was forced to call for ground security in Denpasar to greet the plane.
Lockley, 28, pleaded not guilty in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this week to interfering with a crew member, an offence that carries a maximum penalty of two years' jail.
His barrister, Chris Rosser, said his client was having a panic attack and was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
He became anxious when he thought someone had interfered with his bag and flight staff were not showing enough concern, Mr Rosser told the court.
Lockley tried to go to the toilets at the rear of the plane, but when they were occupied he went through business class to and knocked on the cockpit's door.
"His anxiety was feeding on itself, and things just became worse and worse in his mind," Mr Rosser said.
"There's a possibility in his mind that that's the toilet door he was knocking on.
"He wasn't threatening anyone, he had no physical contact with any of the crew. When they said sit down, he sat down."

UPDATE: A PLUMBER charged over banging on a cockpit door causing a hijack alarm mid air on his way to Bali will have to wait until December to learn his fate.

He has told the Brisbane Magistrates Court he meant to knock on the toilet door during his April 25 flight while suffering a panic attack.
Crew triggered an alarm for possible hijack after he instead thumped on the cockpit door and rattled the handle while saying he wanted to get in.

It led to the flight being prioritised and Lockley being arrested by armed Indonesian authorities when it landed.
His defence barrister Chris Rosser this morning argued crew over reacted by assessing his behaviour as a possible hijack considering the doors to the toilet and cockpit were next to each other.
