ACME Powerwash is frequently chosen by New-Home Builders and General Contractors to steam-clean and pressure wash all the flatwork (garages, driveways, walkways, entries, patios, etc.) at their home sites before turning the home over to the buyer. The construction process can be quite messy and leave a new home looking dirty and uninviting. We excel at removing construction related substances such as paint overspray, caulk, liquid nails, red chalk, etc., giving your homes a fresh, clean appearance.
With the challenges experienced as a result of the current housing market, we feel that pressure washing is a quick and easy way to increase the overall quality of your final product... without adding too much to the bottom line. It is a cost effective way to get a slight edge on the competition, or at least keep up with the competition that is already using us!
ACME Powerwash is currently pressure washing flatwork for 12 home builders and a number of general contractors in the Phoenix area. We diligently keep the required insurance coverage compliant to your policies, and are already familiar with the popular supply chain management tool, BuildPro.
We offer other services for the construction industry including Model Cleanings (you clean the inside, why not the outside!?) and other Subdivision Maintenance such as cleaning up oil/paint spills, graffiti removal, Blue Stake removal, etc. We can also powerwash the sides of new homes for preparation of painting or to clean up after summer monsoons and other rain storms.
ACME Powerwash offers a professional pressure washing solution for companies managing properties in the Phoenix area. We are equipped to offer steam-cleaning and pressure washing services for a variety of circumstances including parking lots, walkways, driveways, entries, storefronts, brick/block walls, etc.
Let ACME Powerwash keep your property looking great year-round with our quarterly, monthly, and weekly service contracts. You can have all your exterior maintenance needs met with one company as we also offer parking lot sweeping.

A customer's first impression of a business is the storefront and entry of your building as they approach the front door. A filthy, stained entry can detract from your clientele's overall impression of your establishment.
ACME Powerwash keeps Phoenix-area businesses looking fresh and new by steam-cleaning and pressure washing away tough stains and grime that build up over time. Make a good first impression by letting us steam clean your entry to remove the gum, grease, oil, and other substances that typically occur outside your front door.

JM Pressure Washing, a Manorville-based provider of pressure washing and exterior cleaning needs to the Long Island community, is proud to announce a full array of cleaning services for Long Island-based businesses.
As a small business-owner, JM Pressure Washing founder James Marfoglio understands that many times a business is initially judged on their visual appeal. Regardless of if you have a brick & mortar location that your customers will visit or if you offer mobile services where youre the first impression you customers have is of your vehicles, a poor appearance can doom a business opportunity before any conversation is started. Potential clients want to know that the company they are looking to for providing service is reputable and a bad visual image can often lead to negative connotations.
Image is everything! says Marfoglio. Dirty, grimy surfaces or vehicles are not only visually unpleasing, they actually detour potential clients from your place of business. With challenges such as weather, road work and graffiti, business owners have a lot to cope with in keeping their business aesthetically pleasing. It is dealing with these challenges that JM Pressure Washing can offer assistance to the small business owner.
Among their commercial cleaning services offered are fleet washing, cleaning of exterior areas of a facility such as exterior walls, windows, concrete walkways and sidewalks, drive-through areas, parking structures and loading docks. Additionally, masonry and stone cleaning as well as graffiti removal are some of the other services available to business owners.
JM Pressure Washing was founded over 10 years ago as a subsidiary of our well established company, Color Brite Painting. By working in the home construction industry for more than 35 years, we saw the need to create a separate company to tailor to the specific pressure washing needs of commercial and residential properties throughout Long Island. Starting with basic pressure washing of home/business exteriors and deck re-finishing , we have expanded our services to include full service deck restoration, roof and gutter cleaning, concrete cleaning, window cleaning, complete house washing as well as our commercial services including fleet washing, facility cleaning and graffiti removal. Located in Manorville, New York, we are a locally-owned small business serving the entire Long Island Community.

PORT HENRY A late-night fire over the weekend left a family of six homeless in Port Henry.
The fire at 3140 Broad St. was called in about 10 p.m. Saturday, bringing firefighters from Port Henry, Moriah, Mineville-Witherbee, Crown Point, Ticonderoga and Westport.
Stephen and April Clodgo and two of their four children, boys ages 7 and 18, were sleeping in the house at the time.
The owner said smoke alarms went off and awoke him, Essex County Emergency Services Director Donald Jaquish said.
Mr. Clodgo came out, and the Christmas tree was on fire. He tried to extinguish it with a small extinguisher, to no avail, and they had to evacuate.
Port Henry Fire Chief James Hughes said the Village Department of Public Works called the fire in.
Our Village DPW alerted us; they were out plowing and spotted smoke. When I arrived, I saw heavy smoke from the north side attic vent.
The fire was very deep-seated in the building in the vicinity of the living room.
The family pet, a cat, was rescued by firefighters.
The Clodgos and their four children, ages 7, 11, 12 and 18, are staying at a motel, he said, but were planning to eventually stay with relatives in Vermont.

SPOKANE, Wash.--One of the leads police are investigating in connection with the Sunday night murder of Douglas Carlile took them to one un-expecting womans front door.
Shelby, who chose not to disclose her last name, expected to have her day disrupted by carpet installation. Instead, she received a visit from police officers. Detectives showed up because the carpet cleaners van was similar to one seen leaving the Sunday night murder scene.
This was actually the second time our carpet layer got stopped because his white van matched the description, Shelby said.

Cameras on a home near the murder scene at 25th and Garfield caught images of a white van Sunday night. The van in the video appears to be a Dodge extended cab, early 2000s model.

What's better than a front-row seat at a Justin Bieber concert? How about exclusive access to the red-carpet premiere of the Biebs' "Believe" documentary?
MTV is taking you there with the best seat in the house as Bieber, director Jon M. Chu, producer Scooter Braun, Usher and more answer your big questions during our online live stream, kicking off at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT exclusively on MTV.com. Have a question? Tweet it using the hashtag #AskBelieve.
MTV News' Christina Garibaldi will be joined by guest co-host Debby Ryan, of Disney's "Jessie," for all the action. And if we know Justin's fans, it's going to be pandemonium.
"Last time, when we did 'Never Say Never,' there was like, 4,000 fans outside screaming, going crazy," Chu previously told MTV News. " I'm sure there's gonna be some wild fan costumes and signs."
Lest we forget about graffiti artist Alec Monopoly, who will be creating an installation for the event using Bieber's Music Journals singles cover art as inspiration and infusing his own energy and emotions. The work will be painted live on-site and auctioned off for charity upon its completion.
Need more reasons to tune in? Chu will give you five.
"Believe" is what the director calls a "transition movie," giving audiences an inside look at Bieber's life as he records, tours and attempts to evolve under intense media scrutiny. "This was about him transforming and growing," Chu told MTV News.
"Believe," a follow-up to 2011's "Never Say Never," hits theaters on Christmas Day.

Surry County School District (N.C.) improves gymnasium lighting quality and saves money with new energy-efficient LED luminaires from Acuity Brands.
ATLANTA-- Surry County School District (N.C.) projects annual savings of nearly $1,350 with new Lithonia Lighting IBH low bay LED luminaires from Acuity Brands, Inc. (NYSE: AYI). Ten IBH low bay LED luminaires improved foot-candle levels in Dobson Elementary Schools 5,400 square-foot gymnasium by more than 50 percent. The conversion from metal halide fixtures is part of Surry County School Districts energy education program.
We continually strive to improve energy conservation especially to save money for the schools, said Robert Draughn, Surry County School District Director of Plant Operations. This was the main driver for working on a lighting project as one of multiple district-wide energy-saving projects.
Because the metal halide fixtures require a significant amount of time to achieve full illumination, the school allowed the lights to remain on throughout the entire day, even when the gym was not in use. However, the new Lithonia Lighting LED fixtures instantly illuminate when switched on, enabling the school to easily turn lights off and reduce energy consumption when the gym is unoccupied.
Installation of the new IBH LED luminaires was completed in three days. It was very quick and easy to make the transition from metal halide to LED, said Draughn. Because they were able to successfully complete the project in time for the 2013-2014 school year, the Surry County School District plans to adopt LED lighting in nine additional elementary, middle and high schools.
IBH low bay LED luminaires are designed to save as much as 50 percent of energy compared to traditional metal halide fixtures. Ideal for light industrial and commercial applications, the luminaires have an expected service life of more than 50,000 hours.

FY14 THIRD QUARTER VS. PRIOR-YEAR PERIOD
COMMENTARY Apogee recorded another solid quarter, with growth in revenues and earnings per share, and positive free cash flow, said Joseph F. Puishys, Apogee chief executive officer. At the same time, we used cash to acquire a leader in the Canadian storefront and entrance market with approximately C$60 million in annual revenues, supporting our growth strategies that include a focus on new international geographies and new product introductions.
Revenues were up 5 percent in the quarter, and all segments have grown year to date, he said. Weve maintained our backlog level, and more importantly, are seeing growth in our pipeline of project commitments and awards, as well as continued strong bidding activity as our markets begin to improve.
Our operating income growth of 11 percent was driven by improved mix and productivity in the Architectural Glass segment, and increasing margins and good project execution in the Architectural Services segment, which returned to profitability, said Puishys. In addition, the Architectural Framing Systems segment earnings increased slightly as it absorbed acquisition integration costs. In the Large-Scale Optical segment, a good mix was offset by promotional activities and some increased manufacturing costs.

Architects experienced a drop in November billings after a six-month run of increasing requests for design services. The Architecture Billings Index (ABI) from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) reported a November reading of 49.8, dipping from an October score of 51.6. Any score above 50 indicates an increase in billings. New project inquires also slipped to 57.8 from a mark of 61.5 the previous month.
Architecture firms continue to report widely varying views of business conditions across the country. This slight dip is likely just a minor, and hopefully temporary, lull in the progress of current design projects, AIA chief economist Kermit Baker, Hon. AIA, said in a statement. But there is a continued uneasiness in the marketplace as businesses attempt to determine the future direction of demand for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
The commercial/industrial and institutional sectors hung below the 50 mark at 48.6 and 47.7, respectively, compared with multi-family residential (55.2) and mixed practice (53.1). Broken down by region, November billings scores came in at 52.0 for the South, 51.6 in the Midwest, 50.2 in the west, and a low of 47.5 in the Northeast.
