The water company has released a draft report that announces they will need to find new sources of water, reports Wimbledon Guardian on June 19 in the article Sutton and East Surrey Water Supply Will Run Out In the Next 25 Years. Due to an increase in population and climate change, the report states that the company will run out of water in the next 25 years. Their report outlines how they plan to ensure there is enough water for customers, with one such measure being fitting water meters in customers' homes and urging customers to use less water. The company also outlines that they will need to increase their surface reservoir in Kent and lower leakage.
The engineering director of Sutton and East Surrey Water, Lester Sonden told Wimbledon Guardian that:
The recent drought is a key example of how water companies in the South East are facing increasing pressures which will challenge our ability to maintain public water supplies. Sutton and East Surrey Water is working with these companies, the Environment Agency and other stakeholders to identify solutions which will minimise the impact upon customers water supply bills while protecting important habitats.
Emergency Plumber are renowned for their emergency plumbers throughout the UK. Following developments in the industry, a spokesperson from Oxford Emergency Plumber responded to this recent news:
While it is worrying to residents that there may be an imminent water shortage, there are many steps you can take to reduce the amount of water you use each day. One tip is to not leave the tap running when you are shaving or brushing your teeth. Another major source of wasting water is leaking pipes. It is essential that people check taps and pipes on a regular basis and contact a plumber if they believe there is a leak in their home.

As reported in Telegraph on June 21 in the article Simpler Bills By Summer In Radical Energy Reforms, the energy regulator Ofgem has introduced new regulations which will be put in place by the summer.
These new regulations will see energy companies offering four principal tariffs in place of the various price plans currently on offer. Alongside this, energy companies will have to inform customers of how much they can save by moving to a cheaper tariff. Ofgem has also introduced a comparison rate to allow customers to easily compare the tariffs on offer from different energy companies. Unless these reforms are put under appeal by energy companies, the reforms will be put in place by this summer and changes to tariffs effective by the end of the year.
These changes follow the recent years of many households being faced with rising heating bills. According to the Telegraph, utility bills have risen by at least 300 over the last three years.
A senior partner at Ofgem, Andrew Wright, described the reforms to the Telegraph as the blueprint for the simpler, cleaner and fairer energy market that consumers deserve, adding that this will provide them with the choice they want alongside the simplicity they need.
The experts at Plumber 24 Hours, who are well-known for their Romford emergency plumbers, have a keen interest in developments in the industry, and a representative for the company shared their thoughts on the reforms:
These new reforms are good news for the many customers who currently struggle with their energy bills. Simpler tariffs under these reforms mean that customers should be able to easily see which energy company works better for them. Any change which simplifies this process for customers is a welcome one.

EliminateEm Pest Control Services is now offering wildlife removal services to home and business owners in Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts.
With Summer time brings a host of new wildlife control issues. Raccoons and squirrels are a big nuisance for homeowners especially for those who have chimneys. Snakes, opossums, woodchucks and moles are also giving homeowners headaches this time of year. Many homeowners have planted gardens this past Spring so wildlife is now coming out of the woodworks to feast. We strongly recommend if you find your garden or yard are being damaged by nuisance wildlife that you call a professional wildlife control company. It can be dangerous to try and trap wild animals if you dont know what youre doing then to have to load the animal in your car to remove it, this is often how people get bit. Its when a homeowner goes to actually remove the animal thats when the real danger comes into play, says Kenny Vayda, President and owner of EliminateEm Pest Control Services.
The wildlife removal experts at EliminateEm Pest Control Services specialize in the removal of skunks, squirrels, mice, rodents, rats, birds, bats, gophers, moles, opossums, snakes, birds and woodchucks. Their wildlife removal technicians are highly trained on how to safely remove critters from a home or business.
It takes a certain skill-set and level of patience to remove nuisance wildlife. Our professional wildlife removal staff is well trained in animal control throughout Connecticut, New York and Massachusetts. Often times understanding how a certain animal behaves and what attracts them that makes the difference in trapping an animal. All EliminateEm wildlife removal experts are highly trained on how to safely remove wildlife so they themselves are not in danger and the animal is safely removed, adds Vayda.
Vayda states, Homeowners often make the mistake of trying to remove nuisance wildlife on their own. There are best practices to handling animals so they dont get hurt during the removal process. Many people think that by calling the humane society and enlisting their advice is the right answer. Unfortunately we have had to rescue many homeowners because they have tried to remove nuisance wildlife themselves and have a far worse situation going on by the time they call us.
In addition to their animal removal services EliminateEm Pest Control also exterminates a whole host of insects from both homes and businesses. Their extermination team uses environmentally green products to remove termites, carpenter ants, hornets, wasps, bees, ground wasps, rodents, bed bugs, spiders, yellow jackets, ticks, fleas and many more.
Our website (eliminateem.com) offers a complete list of extermination services. We highly recommend consumers review our website for additional information on how the various insects can damage a home. For example Termites can make structural damage to a home by eating away at foundations, support beams and plastic plumbing pipes, explains Vayda.
EliminateEm Pest Control offers pest control and wildlife removal services throughout Connecticut including the areas of Fairfield County, Hartford County, Litchfield County, Middlesex County, New Haven County, New London County, Tolland County and Windham County. Their pest control and animal removal experts also service areas throughout New York and Massachusetts.

If consumers have a wildlife removal need we will be there, says Vayda.

Eau Claire (WQOW) - A local pest control company says the more we travel, the more the bed bugs will bite.
Wil-Kil pest control in Eau Claire says it's been getting more calls to get rid of bed bugs. Since last year, at this same time, there's been an increase of at least twenty percent.
"Overall the entire state is extremely busy with our heat remediation team. There are three teams and it's going to be going up to four just to keep up with all the calls and the work, the demands that are there. They'll work anywhere from 6 to 7 days just keep up with the demand of calls," say Wil-Kil Regional Manager, Tom Majors.
Wil-Kil says more people are traveling and more people know how to spot a bed bug. Those are two reasons for the spike in calls.
Hotels aren't the only ones seeing the problem. Wil-Kil says many of the calls it responds to are at apartment complexes, where the bugs can spread from building to building.
