According to sources, the sprinkler system at the CenturyLink Center in Bossier City, LA was somehow set off as the company was filming a pre-taped segment for SmackDown. This caused many WWE stars to have their personal effects damaged.

Fire alarms and sprinklers immediately went off at full force, dousing everyone in the room, which led to a mad scramble in the dark as the fire prevention system shut down all electricity in the immediate area. Staff and wrestlers were scrambling through a flooded room in the dark, trying to remove everything of importance as the sprinklers kept spraying. The scene was described as something out of a bad comedy film with people slipping and getting completely soaked.

The company was finishing up the taping of Main Event and was getting ready to shoot SmackDown when the taping process was stopped. The company was working to keep the surge of water from running out of the room and into other backstage areas. The situation was so serious that Triple H arrived on the scene to direct traffic as the company tried to stop the water from reaching other areas of the building.

Many were said to be thankful that the fire alarms had only caused the sprinkler system to go off in the one room and not a larger portion of the arena, which may have caused the evacuation of the live audience by the local fire marshal. That would have been a disaster for the tapings.

The feeling is that the heat from lights being used for the pre-tape set off the sensors in the room and that led to the flooding.

- We noted earlier that there was a backstage incident at Tuesday's WWE SmackDown tapings in Bossier City, Louisiana where the fire alarms went off. There was actually chaos backstage and JBL provided the following recap on his Facebook:

"I was doing commentary so I missed the exact facts of what happened, but here's what I know. I had finished Main Event (Miz was returning from Middle East so I was filling in) and coming back to change my suit and tie to go back out for Smackdown.

I see total chaos. Apparently Dave Kapoor (who is Great Khali's working 'brother') was filming a backstage segment and a light either burst or got too close to a sprinkler and set off the fire sprinklers in the dressing room I had my stuff in.

The force of the water was unreal. Guys were trying to save our stuff in the dark (we all had computers, clothes etc) and also trying to figure out a way to get the water off. The alarm had sounded it looked like the filming of the sinking of the Titanic.

I'm in the room trying to get my extra suit and computer as my stuff was right under the sprinkler, guys were helping me with flashlights in the darkness.

The alarm was saying to evacuate the building.

Triple H had left 'Gorilla' and was directing guys to put towels down to keep the flooding in one area, it was a ton of water. Our whole crew was back there trying to figure out how to keep the water in one room. It was unreal seeing guys trying to stop something minor before it became something major. If all the sprinklers had come on, tons of stuff would have been ruined-fortunately it was only one dressing room

They all finally succeeded. Some guys stuff was ruined, poor Dave Kapoor was just soaked with horrible smelling water.

We tape up to four shows on Tuesdays, not to mention the backstage stuff-an incredible amount. The WWE did what we always do and adjusted to outside forces and taped the shows.

Ah, the joys of taping TV. Just another fun chapter now and some really good TV taped around it."

Abandoned Japan Bamboo Shed
Old farm shed used to store extra-long lengths of bamboo fallen over and going to ruin beside a rice field in central Japan. Structures like this were once an important part of the economic infrastructure when Japan #39;s primary economic activity was agriculture. Every farmer or small group of farmers would require a shed to hold their farm implements and for temporary storage for freshly harvested fruit and vegetables. In some areas specialized sheds were constructed to act as rest areas where farmers could take a short break from their difficult outdoor labor. Additional sheds were sometimes built for specific purposes such as fumigation, or to even act as growing sheds for shade-loving crops such as delicious shitake mushrooms. Modernization has brought many changes to Japan, not the least of which is the shift of human population and available labor from the rural farming communities to large, cosmopolitan cities such as Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo. With few young people left to carry on the farming lifestyle many of the farm sheds as well as homes and entire farm compounds have been given up after the older generation retires and there is nobody left to carry on.
