We've known for a while now that Amazon wanted to start offering local services. Now, the store for everything is selling TV-mounting services ahead of all the TV sales on Black Friday. And you know what? That sounds like a pretty useful addition to the Amazon family.

The company is now testing Amazon Local Services in nine different cities. If you search for "tv mounts," a little box pops that asks if you a TV mount installed. Clicking through takes you to a list of all the available TV-mounting services and the option to add the service to your cart. Amazon even offers its "happiness guarantee" for the services so if the service stinks, you can take that up with Amazon instead of the local purveyor. Of course, you could also just do a Google search for "tv installation" or something, but that would require you to leave the Amazon ecosystem.

Honestly, TV-mounting services seem like they're kind of expensive in the New York City area (as are groceries through Amazon Fresh). But boy is this Amazon Local Services idea convenient! Just imagine if they rolled this into Amazon Prime, which is already the best deal in tech. Eventually, Amazon will help connect you to anyone from a plumber to a contractor, and the company will almost definitely eat the lunch of Angie's List in the process. TIME Business Companies Amazon Wants to Help You Find a Handyman I know just the guy for the job, Amazon says

Amazon will sell you an air conditioner, and then itll find someone to install it for you, too.

The online retailer is connecting customers with local appliance installers like plumbers and electricians with a new offering called Amazon Local Services.

After adding an item to their virtual cart, customers will see installation offers from Amazon after buying items like an air conditioner or a car stereo. A recent search for air conditioners in New York yielded installation price options in the range of $99 to $120. Each offering came with appointment time preferences which then added the installation cost to the sticker cost of the air conditioner.

An anonymous source briefed on the plan told the Wall Street Journal that the service is now offered in New York, Los Angeles and Seattle. Amazons new service will likely help the company compete with brick-and-mortar stores and other online retailers by making it more simple to install complicated appliances. It could also drive business to local installers.

One electrician in Los Angeles who had signed onto the program told the Journal that when he lands a job through Amazon Local Services, he pays Amazon a fee.

LAS VEGAS -- The holiday season is a joyous time for most families -- that is -- unless you're a turkey. Thanksgiving is a black day for turkeys, in general.

However, there's one group of birds that's accidentally stumbled into a safe haven. In fact, they might be the safest turkeys in America and they live in Nevada.

The I-Team went in search of these seemingly wily birds.

The typical turkey that is favored at Thanksgiving dinners is not known for being very smart, but wild turkeys are different. Ben Franklin wanted to make them the national symbol instead of the eagle. They are magnificent birds in many respects.

The Nevada Department of Wildlife has been seeding wild turkeys throughout rural areas so they can be hunted. Whether by luck or by wiles, some of the turkeys have ended up in the one place where hunting is not allowed.

Nevada's magnificent Great Basin National Park is a road less traveled, by humans anyway, but it's a place where the deer and the antelope play, and marmots too. But something else is prowling the hills and forests these days, leaving behind odd tracks in the dirt. Foreign invaders have taken up residence inside the national park.

"We've counted over 200 in one watershed so several hundred, if not a thousand, in the whole range I would guess," said Bryan Hamilton, National Park Service biologist.

He's talking about turkeys, wild turkeys, captured in places like Texas and Idaho and then released on multiple occasions, all over rural Nevada. The Nevada Department of Wildlife started the releases back in the 1960s and has continued to uncork them by the thousands so that hunters might bag a big bird for the dinner table. One such release back in 2003 occurred in White Pine County, just outside the national park.

"They pretty much immediately moved into the park," Hamilton said. "We had a pretty good idea they'd want to go up into better habitat, a lot of moisture, better habitat up there."

It's doubted the turkeys could read a "No Hunting" sign, or that they appreciate irony, but they managed to waggle their way into the one place where hunting is not allowed.
