Houston, Texas (PRWEB) July 16, 2014
Founded by home improvement veteran Jay Sanchez in 2003, Home Exterior Services has spent the last decade providing award-winning service to the residents of Houston and surrounding areas. Now, the company is announcing the arrival of new window replacement services, at a time when more homeowners are growing more concerned about efficiency, durability, and aesthetic value. In replacing windows, the professional staff at Home Exterior Systems evaluate individual needs based on architectural designs, shapes, styles, and glass packages, among other features.
Each window replacement by Home Exterior Systems comes with a long list of features. A fusion-welded frame and sash panel combine to provide optimal strength and enhance weather resistance and energy efficiency. A sloped vinyl sill eliminates water infiltration by directing water away from the door. For improving ventilation and thermal efficiency, the window has a full fiberglass mesh screen and fin seal weatherstripping. A single point lock handle helps promote security and safety. Corrosion-resistant rollers at the bottom ensure effortless sliding over time. The narrow frame and expansive sightline ensure that customers get a large viewing area from the window, and its premium vinyl construction requires minimal maintenance to look good for many years.
The double-strength tempered glass, in particular, increases strength and resistance to breakage. Even at that, it is still backed by a three-year glass breakage warranty. Customers can add any of a vast range of glass options. For instance, WhisperGlasswhich features impact-resistant laminated glassoffers increased energy efficiency, sound control, safety, and UV protection. A particularly popular option is the LoE-366 glass, which is designed for increased energy efficiency and comes with a one-inch insulated glazed unit, super spaces, and argon gas fill.
Home Exterior Systems provides its window replacements from a variety of manufacturers. They include Amcraft, Anderson, Don Young, Home Craftsman, Pella, Silverline, and Simonton.
About Home Exterior Systems: Based in Houston, Home Exterior Services is a home improvement company with a vast array of services for the city and surrounding areas. In addition to window replacements, Home Exterior Services provides services that include power washing, door replacements, lap siding, and deck and patio construction. A brochure for Affordable Home Comfort. The company has come under scrutiny from Consumer Protection.
The brother of a notorious air-conditioner salesman banned from selling and installing dodgy cooling systems has also come to the attention of WAs consumer watchdog.
Maxwell Raymond Healy, the brother of Alwyn Robert Healy who has been the subject of several consumer cautions over many years for failing to deliver or install air-conditioning units, has now himself had a warning issued against him by the state's peak consumer body.
Consumer Protection on Tuesday warned customers to exercise discretion when dealing with Solar H C Pty Ltd, trading as Affordable Home Comfort, after customer complaints against the company during the past three months.
Complaints included the air-conditioning units did not have the reverse cycle evaporative component promised, the systems had not been installed in a timely manner and large deposits being paid.

Maxwell Healy, of Bindoon, is the companys sole director.
In May this year, Alwyn Healy, trading as Aircon Factory Direct, was ordered by the Supreme Court of WA to stop claiming air-conditioning units he was selling could heat and cool when they could not.
Alwyn Healy, who in 2011 at a contempt hearing for breaching a court order, was described by Justice Kenneth Martin as dodgy.
He was ordered to pay back $127,000 to 50 customers who were misled about the units, after he told customers they could both heat and cool their homes, however, when the units were installed there was no heating function.

A three-story, mixed-used office building proposed at 385 Sherman Ave. in Palo Alto is too big and will exacerbate existing parking and traffic problems, according to residents who live nearby.
The 55,566-square-foot project from Daniel Minkoff would replace an existing one-story 21,600-square-foot office building. The plans call for three floors of commercial office space and four residential units overlooking Sarah Wallis Park.
The city's Architectural Review Board is slated to review the project when it meets Thursday.
More than a dozen residents have raised a myriad of concerns about the project in letters and emails to the city. Dwight Clark, who lives at Birch Court, said the proposed building's 45-foot height combined with short setbacks would result in a loss of privacy and sunlight.
"The overarching point for me and my neighbors: the building is simply too massive," he wrote. "In a block made up of a city park and residences, it overwhelms everything else and simply is out of proportion with the neighborhood."
Others said it would exacerbate parking and traffic problems in the California Avenue area.
According to a report by Senior Planner Russ Reich, the project would provide the required amount of parking through an underground garage with 103 spaces and by continuing to pay into a parking assessment district for 70 spaces.
"The number provided is not even close to the number of spaces a building of that size will require to provide parking for the tenants and people visiting the tenants," wrote Terry Shuchat, the owner of Keeble & Shuchat Photography, a camera store at 290 California Ave.
A transportation impact assessment by Fehr & Peers in May, meanwhile, found that nearby intersections would continue to operate at acceptable levels of service if the project is built.
Kevin Kiser, another resident of Birch Court, isn't convinced.

Earlier this year at the National Kitchen & Bath Association Awards in Las Vegas, San Diegos Sol Quintana Wagoner took home the prize for the countrys Best Bath.
Wagoner, an interior designer at Kearny Mesas Jackson Design and Remodeling, turned a tiny, 37-square foot space into a luxurious, Asian-inspired powder room.
The Argentine-born architect and designer moved to San Diego in 2002, and for the last eight years shes been transforming kitchens, bathrooms and other spaces.
Wagoner, 43, who lives in Santee with her two young daughters, explains her inspiration.
Q: When did you first become interested in architecture?
A: In Argentina I was always surrounded by architecture and design. Walking down the street you feel like youre going back in time with the different styles, cultures and periods. I went to the same architecture school in Argentina as the renowned architect Csar Pelli. I was inspired by his design of the Petronas Twin Towers in Malaysia, which were the worlds tallest buildings at one time. When I was very young, my mom used to say that I was more interested in making the doll house than I was with the dolls themselves. I was always interested in my visual surroundings and how I could make them more interesting and colorful.
Q: What was the first thing you ever designed?
A: At architectural school I designed a quincho, which is a type of outdoor kitchen thats very popular in Argentina because of our love of good meats and barbecue. It is an eating and socializing space, typically separated from the main house kind of a man cave built around a barbecue outside.
Q: What types of projects do you do here in San Diego?
A: I work as a member of a team that includes other designers and architects. Ive designed bathrooms, kitchens, outdoor spaces and whole home remodels. We work in every style from historical to transitional to contemporary and modern. I am able to explore many aspects of my creativity.
