Fort Macleod residents have been under an Alberta Health Services boil-water order since late Monday night, and will be until further notice.

Town CAO David Connauton said the system at the towns water treatment plant depressurized for 25 minutes and, as a precautionary measure, they now need to flush it out before the water supply can be deemed 100 per cent safe for consumption.

We had a power failure; short-lived but it was enough to cause some issues and our system went down for about 25 minutes, Connauton said Tuesday morning, adding the boil-water order for Fort Macleod could last for two to three days.

On the advice of Alberta Health Services, we had to go to the boil-water order. Its better to be precautionary. We havent had too many issues yet. People just want to know whats going on moreso than anything.

Town officials put out a Facebook post Monday night, as well as a notice on the town website, asking residents to boil their water for at least one minute, then to let it cool properly, before consuming.

AHS says boil-water orders are issued when harmful microbes, like E.coli bacteria or Giardia parasites, may be present in a drinking water supply. Consuming water contaminated with these microbes can make people and pets very sick. Boiling water will kill these microbes and make the water safe to drink.

BOISE Police in Kuna say three young girls have confessed to causing nearly $15,000 in vandalism to a home under construction.

The girls -- ages 10, 12, and 13 -- admitted to throwing paint all over the inside of the home, including walls, countertops, cabinets, windows, ceilings and floors.

The damage was discovered by the homeowners on March 21. The home is in the Omphale Street / School Avenue neighborhood.

Officers say the girls admitted to vandalizing the home on the afternoon of March 20.

We're told they'll face felony charges of malicious injury to property in juvenile court. However, detectives are requesting they be put in a diversion program. A judge will ultimately decide their punishment.

Authorities say their families will have to pay restitution for the damage.

LAUREL HOLLOW, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) Designer show houses are popularin wealthy suburbs and often draw thousands of visitors. But the village of Laurel Hollow says the attractions are illegal and has put an interior decorator on trial.

As CBS 2s Carolyn Gusoff reported, designer Claudia Dowling is charged with operating a commercial business in a residential neighborhood.

Dowling organized a designer show house at a historic Gold Coast mansion last year. Twenty-five decoratorstransformed rooms into showcases of their work, donating a quarter-million dollars in renovations to a homeowner trying to sell the house in exchange for public exposure of their crafts. Brochures were printed, and theshow house was set to open to the public on Labor Day 2013 before the village shut it down.

I thought I had the go-ahead, said designer Claudia Dowling. I certainly wouldnt spendall that time and money and other designerstime and money if I didnt think I had the go-ahead.

I didnt go out to harm anything.

Howard Avrutine, Laurel Hollow village attorney, said the law has to be enforced to protect neighbors.

Its no different than if I had a retail store, he said. Instead of selling shirts, Im selling my services.

If you lived next door to this home, would you want to see business activity going on on a daily basis for an eight-week period with vehicles coming in and out? Avrutine said.

Coachella 2014 Adds Pixies and Julian Casablancas, Unveils Schedule

John Preble says he's always had a lot of stuff in his house.

"I'm from a family of collectors. My father collected stamps and rocks and his mother was an antique dealer of some sorts," he says.

Preble has a lot of hobbies - or jobs. He's a musician, composer, record producer, painter and ten years ago, the creator of the Mystery House in Abita Springs.

"The museum is sort of a hobby that got out of hand," Preble said.

The Mystery House has a large assortment of animals with alligator heads, sometimes with more than one head, a collection of old radios and barbed wire, paint by number art, a fortune teller and lots of other strange stuff.

"I don't want expensive things. I want things that are interesting. Someone brought me a bottle opener that looked like Jimi Hendrix. It was perfect."

Prebble already had a lot of stuff, but he hadn't thought about turning it into a museum. Then on a family vacation he stopped at a roadside attraction near Albequerqe, and that's where he got his inspiration.

"When we saw this, I was like I got all the same junk this guy has. I can open my own museum."

The signature piece is a 22-foot long bass-a-gator. It's part bass, part alligator. It's near the airstream trailer that once-upon-a-time was hit by a flying saucer. The aliens never left.

A 1920 barn has been turned into the house of shards decorated with 15,000 bits of glass and pottery.
