Harris dead-heated in a marathon over hurdles here in December and connections quickly send him over fences to which he should definitely be suited. Pinerolo makes his handicap debut over fences after a couple of moderate efforts and he's always looked like a potential staying chaser. DIOCLES is taking a big step-up in trip after scoring over 2m3f here where he jumped well and stayed on strongly. He's been raised 7lb but looks another nice prospect for his yard and can complete the double. Alderbrook Lad won two handicaps here before finding Supreme Asset too strong at Carlisle last week. He's never been anywhere near this trip under Rules so his stamina has to be taken on trust. Son Of Flicka, who won the Coral Cup in 2012, could only finish second in a three-horse affair here on New Year's Day but probably retains some ability and is well handicapped over fences. Mitchell's Way, a dual winning hurdler, has only had one run over fences but A P McCoy's presence in the saddle is a bonus.

Former Celebrity Big Brother star Dane Bowers will stand trial today accused of assault following an alleged brawl at a Butlins holiday camp.

The former Another Level singer was the headline act at a 1990s night at the resort in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, when the incident occurred on April 20.

The 34-year-old DJ, from Ambercroft Way, Coulsdon, Surrey, who once dated model Katie Price, pleaded not guilty to two charges of assault by beating when he appeared in court on May 15.

His brother, electrician Wade Bowers, 31, of Kingswood Way, South Croydon, also appeared in court and pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of cocaine but not guilty to three counts of assault by beating.

A third man, builder Terry Kean, 35, of Limpsfield Road, South Croydon, also pleaded guilty to cocaine possession but not guilty to using threatening words.

All three defendants were released on unconditional bail until the two-day trial starting today at Chichester Magistrates' Court.

Bowers, a former Brit School student, became famous in the late-1990s as a member of R&B band Another Level and after the group disbanded he sang a duet, Out Of Your Mind, with Victoria Beckham.

He appeared in Celebrity Big Brother in 2010.

Bowers is starring in a reality documentary series, The Big Reunion, on ITV2 where he is part of a band called 5th Story with fellow solo singers Gareth Gates, Kenzie, Kavana and Adam Rickitt.

Hundreds of police staff, including high-ranking officers, have been censured for breaching data protection laws - from snooping on their children and ex-wives, to social media gaffes.

Demolition crews started tearing down several buildings near 135 S. Main Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, to make way for the new Utah Performing Arts Center. The facility is expected to be completed in spring 2016.

SALT LAKE CITY Demolition crews are tearing down several buildings on Main Street to make way for the new state-of-the-art theater in Salt Lake City.

"It's time to get this show on the road," said Alan Rindlisbacher with Layton Construction Company.

Artists renderings of the Utah Performing Arts Center depict a beautiful wall of windows looking out onto Main Street. It's a place where many will be able to enjoy shows and musical performances. But, that's more than two years away. Long before the curtain goes up, the old buildings must come down.

"It's our time to perform right now," Rindlisbacher said of the construction workers.

Preparation work began in August and crews have been demolishing on the east side of the block for a couple of weeks. Now the public can start to see progress.

They will take out three buildings to the north of Neumont University. An office tower on the corner of 100 South will integrate with the center. Demolition will last three or four months, and then excavation can begin.

"There will be mass excavation," said Rindlisbacher. "We've got to dig the hole. We've got to do the utilities. It's going to be another year before we start to see the steel come out of the ground."

The Utah Performing Arts Center (also called The New Performing Arts Center) on 135 S. Main Street will include a 2,500-seat theater that will stage major Broadway shows. The Capitol Theatre and Kingsbury Hall each have a seating capacity of around 1,900. Because of the low seating capacity, many blockbuster Broadway productions, such as The Lion King and Wicked, often appear later in Salt Lake City than in other cities, according to the New Performing Arts Center website. In addition, both venues have challenging load-in, lobby, backstage, seating, parking and concessions logistics for larger touring shows.

Faced with a public backlash, Mayor Buddy Dyer on Monday put the brakes on a plan to tear down the grandstands and buildings at historic Tinker Field at least for now.

The mayor said he had ordered a halt to the demolition that was scheduled to happen as soon as next month. He also asked architects to "look at all options to preserve the historic significance of Tinker Field."

Even so, the days of baseball at Tinker Field seem to be over. A renovation that's now in progress will enlarge the Citrus Bowl, encroaching into Tinker Field so much that it would no longer be suitable for America's pastime.

An aide to the mayor said the buildings and grandstand, or some part of them, could be preserved in some way as a monument to the Hall of Famers who played there and the day 50 years ago when the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. spoke from the pitcher's mound at a civil rights rally.

Or it could still be demolished.

The reprieve gives time for community participation that never happened before the Dyer administration announced the demolition two weeks ago. That announcement caught many by surprise including city commissioners, who were told only a few days earlier.

"I can't support the demolition of Tinker Field.We get more public input on speed humps on a street than this process involving millions of dollars and the destruction of a historic asset, and I feel that is wrong," said Commissioner Patty Sheehan, who went on to blister the Dyer administration for a lack of transparency.

Two weeks ago, city officials said Tinker Field was in such disrepair, with substandard plumbing, sewer and electrical systems, that it would be too costly to fix. And even if it were renovated, the outfield would still be too small to host baseball.

Instead, the administration announced a plan to build a new ballpark on an adjacent parcel, McCracken Field, at an estimated cost of $3 million.

"The guiding principle regarding the future of Tinker Field was that this is an opportunity to build a facility that would restore a functioning baseball stadium to the area and to preserve the historic significance of Tinker Field," Dyer said Monday.
