Two northwest New Jersey co-workers were arrested last week at their Hunterdon County job, the place where they schemed together to sell heroin, authorities said.
Charles Davis, 25, of Phillipsburg, and Jonathan Neceda, 24, of Bloomsbury, face charges of drug distribution, possession and conspiracy, the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office and New Jersey State Police said today in a statement.
Detectives from the two departments seized 130 decks of heroin, worth roughly $1,500, when they arrested Davis and Neceda, according to the statement. Authorities said the bust was the result of an undercover investigation and accused the two of conspiring at their Bloomsbury workplace to sell the drugs.
Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony Kearns III vowed to continue to battle the growing problem of heroin use.
"The heroin epidemic continues to destroy lives, devastate families and affect the quality of life in Hunterdon County and throughout this state," he said in a statement.
Also arrested in Friday's bust was 22-year-old Lindsay Fretz, of Phillipsburg. She faces a drug possession charge after she was found with less than 50 grams of marijuana, authorities said.
Davis and Neceda were each sent to the Hunterdon County jail in lieu of $15,000 bail. Davis has since been released after posting that amount, online records indicate.
Neceda remained in the facility late this morning. Fretz was released pending a court appearance.

Procrastination is human nature. Presentation slide decks are ambitiously started weeks before the conference, and then finished in a panic days or hours before they are due. Walking up to the podium, the speaker shudders as the lights dim and the first slide comes up, thinking oh well, I did the best I could.
Laser Pointer, a leading medical/dental presentation design firm, helps their clients take their lecture content and deliver it with credibility, professionalism and an eye to adult learning principles. There are some simple down-and-dirty tricks that can be employed when and if last minute panic has set in.
According to SlideShares Zeitgeist 2013 presentation on How did the world of presentations change, presentations have 20% fewer words per slide and 58% larger font than in 2012. Overall image usage increased 53% and image size grew by 16%. This is fantastic news for the procrastinator and can be used to their advantage.
Just last week, a doctor called Laser Pointer and said his presentation was tomorrow. He said, So once Ive gotten through that, can I send it over for a makeover? The truth is, improvements could have been made, even with less than 24 hours to go.
In this particular case, the titles of each slide were in different font sizes and colors, a telltale sign that these slides had been mixed together from various presentations. Image sizes were also varied and placed inconsistently throughout the deck. One hour spent tidying these up would have aligned this presentation with modern trends and provided this speaker with greater credibility.
Laser Pointer reveals easy and quick tips to salvage a presentation when time is tight:
1.Focus on the ONE THING. The cocktail napkin on the airplane is sufficient space to draw up a quick written outline. Discern what ONE THING the audience is coming to hear. Mindfully edit the content to deliver a focused lecture rather than presenting every possible aspect on a topic. The audience cant remember everything anyhow, so spare them the information overload.
2.Select compelling visuals. Use images that give a sense of storytelling and the whats in it for me elements that are essential to adult learning. If time is tight, first get rid of the amateur clip art. Given just a little bit more time, make use of royalty free sites such as Shutterstock or morgue file for low cost images to supplement case photos.
3.Declutter slides. First, make every image the full size of the screen. Next, reduce text down to 5-6 words per slide and use a large font (48-60 point). A fast and easy way to do this is duplicate every slide with multiple bullet points and only display one per slide. More ideally, craft a declarative statement that captures the essence of the detail originally written on the slide and move all the detailed bullets into the notes section. If needed, use a presenters split screen as a prompt for speaking to that detail.

WHEELING -
You order it, you pay for it, and you anxiously await its arrival. Then the package is finally delivered to your porch, but a thief gets there first, and steals it. It's happening in Wheeling and nationwide.
The Reverends Jim and Theresa Kelley of St. Luke's Episcopal Church ordered two new clergy shirts. You can't buy them locally. They are a specialty item that must be ordered. Fed Ex says they delivered them to the Kelley's front porch, but the Kelleys never got them. And they aren't alone. Since the Christmas season, five packages have been reported stolen from porches in Wheeling.
"I want to say it probably happens more than we probably know," said Sgt. Gregg McKenzie of the Wheeling Police Department. "I don't believe everybody who has a package stolen reports it to the police. They might just call the postal service, they might call UPS, FedEx, whoever their package was shipped to."
Kelley has notified the shipper and the shirt company, and tracked the shipment.
"If it's not there and the website says it's there, then you have to start making phone calls, and it's been several days already, for two shirts," Kelley said.
But she has another worry. Those shirts could allow anyone, from a thief to a pedophile, to impersonate a minister.
"They could fall into the wrong hands. You know, we live in the different world today. I guess I don't want anybody to find these or to come up with them and use them inappropriately."

The church building at Colvin and Tacoma avenues in North Buffalo is gone, but the bell tower is not.
Plans for 40 market-rate apartments that will be built around the tower are progressing, with construction expected to begin this summer and last from nine months to a year.
The tower is really a beacon in the neighborhood, said Sam DeFranks, whose Apollo Dismantling Services was hired to tear down the church in January 2013.
DeFranks grew up in North Buffalo and still has family there, and said the property which his company bought in April from the United Methodist Church offers an opportunity to build something new as well as to diversify his business.
The brick used in the housing development will be similar to the existing brick on the tower, and the roofing material will be similar to the one that was on the church.
Plans for the project, calling for 16 one-bedroom and 24 two-bedroom units, were approved Tuesday by the city Planning Board, although some neighbors objected to aspects of the plan.
The project will include three buildings that are each three stories, as well as covered parking spaces.
The developments parking configuration was modeled on Mayfair Lane off North Street in Allentown, architect David Giusiana told the board.
The gated parking is below a raised courtyard, which is surrounded by housing.
Linda Franchell, who lives next door, praised DeFranks, saying he was the best neighbor she has had there in 26 years. But she expressed concerns about how only 5 feet separate her house from the proposed townhouses.

Brooklawn School Superintendent John Kellmayer has a simple wish list for his crowded, one-building Camden County district: more space.
Kellmayer hopes that he has made a strong-enough case to persuade voters Tuesday to approve a $1.9 million bond proposal to convert a nearby former Catholic church into a middle school.
The district spends thousands of dollars annually to send its special-education students outside the district because it has no space. At Alice Costello Elementary School, a classroom is inside the gym. The art and music programs share a classroom, and music lessons are taught on the stage.
"We're basically out of room," Kellmayer said.
The district enrolls about 360 students, compared with 222 in the 2000-01 school year.
If the bond is approved, the district would buy the vacant St. Maurice Church and rectory. Both would be renovated and house five classrooms, small-group instructional areas, and office space.
"We just see it as a win-win situation for the school, the community, and, frankly, for the church," Kellmayer said. "It's a great opportunity."
In March, voters rejected a similar proposal by 12 votes. But that proposal did not include state assistance, Kellmayer said.

By Joel Schipper, Reporter Last Updated: Monday, January 27, 2014, 5:47 PM ORLANDO --
An Orange County church said they are not happy with what the city of Orlando says the house of worship is worth.
Now the city says they are ready and now have the option to take legal action if needed.
Faith Deliverance Temple, located at 625 W. Church St., is in the middle of property the city is going to buy to place a new soccer stadium.
The church property is valued around $700,000. The city has offered to pay $1.5 million.
While that may seem like a tempting offer, the church isnt budging. Instead, members said the city should pay $40 million, which is up from the initial counter offer of $35 million.
The city voted Monday to approve taking action of eminent domain, which would allow a city or government to legally buy a property for what it is value if the property would be for public use.
Its a public use, absolutely, said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. It would house many different events.
Eminent domain lawyer Stumpy Harris said the church should take the offer.
Double the offer is a pretty good deal, Harris said. Double the appraiser but then I would have to know what my appraiser says. If he says about the same thing, then thats a good deal.
